Material Girl

I have been doing some of my own pages this weekend for a change and Cosmo Crickets Material girl is a lovely range for girls and women in general.  Great with vintage photos as it has the old style sewing images on it as well as sewing elements like scissors, cotton bobbins, tape measure etc.  On saying that I did not have anything heritage suitable but I have wanted to scrap this photo for years as its one of the few of my mum-in-law that I have.  Sadly both hubbys parents are no longer with us and living in Portugal they only got to see their grandhildren a few times a year.  My daughter Emma was wearing a lovely little smocked dress from Marks in a beautiful buttercup yellow....I still have it in the loft..lol!!

The "love" has been cut on the cricut, Home Decor cartridge.  The "Joy" has been stamped on acetate with Black Stazon. The red label sticking out the right hand side is a pull out with a journaling block attached.  Everything else came on the cardstock, I have enough papers to make into kits, if you are interested they are £6.50 {not inc p&p}  You get 4 doublesided cardstock sheets, a sheet of cream Bazzill, the "love" and the "joy" titles already stamped and cut, buttons for the flower centres and the puched tab for the journaling and the stamped journaling block, plus instructions which will be emailed to you.

If you would like one email me on Jackiedasilva@talktalk.net

Enjoy whats left of the BH weekend

Siblings

I have been busy with a mini album for a friend of my sons last week but as that is all done now I had some time last night to do a page from my crate of half done stuff that I am trying hard to work my way through..lol!! These papers are so old its not true, think I got this kit from the first Bonanza I went to at the NEC. SEI Winnie Walls....I love this kit but orange is not something my lot wear now they are older so I used this photo I have had for ages as the colours are just right.  Its not a fab pic but its a special one so had to be scrapped!

Have a great day

Mays class kit

This months kit uses the Pink Paislee "Queen Bee" collection, I love the colours of this range and it works really well with hertiage photos.  I also used some of the PP cork buttons...really lovely and something different.  There are two single layouts this month, each kit comes with a selection of the cork buttons, a whole pack of die cuts, a shaped cardstock sheet and 3 other double sided cardstock sheets and 2 sheets of Bazzill. Title on the first page is a Sizziz alphabet and the second one is Storybook cartridge on the Cricut.

Smile

Managed to get another layout done this week with some left overs from an old kit...the papers are Pebbles inc and the "Smile"stamp is Autumn Leaves.

Have a great weekend...hope it better than here wet and cold!!

Life Stories

Another one of Mels kits from my retreat last month.  This uses the fabulous Life stories papers from My Minds Eye.  We made the flowers from circle punches and added pearls to the bunting and the flower centres.  Very soft and subtle layout ideal for heritage photos.....the pics are of me by the way...aahhh!!

Details of my next class on the 15th May are on the side bar, we are doing the beautiful Pink Paislee Queen Bee range of cardstock and you will be doing 2 single layouts.

scary layout

I did not realise until the other day that yesterday was National scrapbooking day.....why did I think it was in October....prehaps I am getting confused with National cardmaking day..lol!!  Needless to say with card classes booked there was nothing I could do about it so I hope you had a good day if you spent it scrapping.  With the weather as its been its an ideal time to steal abit of crafty time to cheer ourselves up on a miserable weekend.  Todays layout is another one of mine that I did at my retreat....photos again that I have wanted to scrap for a few years.  The papers and die cuts are all My Minds Eye "Boo to you" and the spiders web comes from Artbase

Enjoy the rest of your weekend
