The layouts for this months kits are completely opposite from each other...and a great way to show how different things look when you add inks to distress. The paper range is a mix of Pink Pasilee Anthology and Webtsers Pages. The Anthology paper has an embossed pattern on it, which when covered with inks really pops off the page. The colours used were Distress inks Tea Dye and Scattered Straw and Baja Breeze from Stampin Up!. I used ink dusters to apply the ink and then rubbed off the excess sitting on the embossed pattern. The frame was cut out from the Websters paper, the flowers are Webster blomers in Petal. The acetate piece was a Prima Stamp stamped with Black Stazon. The Chipboard Chandelier was from a new company called Dusty Attic and as it was so detailed I coloured with Black dye based ink and a dauber rather than paint.
The second layout uses the Pink Paislee cards from the same range and I made a quick and clean layout cutting 3 photos cut to the same size as the cards. I punched a border in Baja Breeze cardstock and wrapped ribbon around it to sit under the landscape photo. Used a border stamp for the other border and used my new My Minds Eye stamps for the Doilys. I love the tickets that come in the range, they were just stuck along the bottom and finally added a word stamp from Heidi Swapp. A few clear gems were added to the centres of the Doilys.
Next months kit will be Echo Park Springtime...so great for all those lovely spring coloured/themed photos we have. I have a new supplier from next month, so if you would be interested in having one of my kits once a month, let me know. They are £15.00 {plus postage if you are not local} you get full instructions to complete the layouts..some times its a double layout ..sometimes 2 singles. My first kit is due next week so hopefully I will have time to play.
Enjoy the weekend

These are beautiful, Jackie. I especially love the second one; so 'clean' and beautifully structured. Stunning!
