Finally finishing layouts
Spent yesterday trying to catch up on unfinshed kits, that I keep moving around my room! This layout is from a Totalpapercrafts kit we did last year at one of Karens all day crops. I think the papers are K&Co, we used a Martha Stewart punch to make the border, flowers we made and the material ones are Prima long with the pearls and roses. Journaling card is from Delish, numbers are Thickers from American crafts.
I have waited for ages to find the right sort of photos for this layout, but my daughters 21st seemed appropriate and the neutral colours work well with the papers.
I managed to finish quite a few other layouts so will post those over the next few days......one of my main objectives this year is to finish started kits before starting anything new....fingers crossed!!

K & Co Que Sera Sera
Managed to get another layout finshed yesterday, another kit from Totalpapercrafts using the k & Co Que Sera Sera range of papers. The fab ribbon and dies cuts also came with kit. I have been putting off doing this kit as I did not have a suitable photo then my son sent me some recently and I thought this photo worked well with the papers as he is wearing a lilac shirt and tie. I just added a few flowers and brads.
I spent ages this week trying to sort out layouts into albums and have decided that D ring albums are alot less work when it comes to arranging layouts in albums than the old post type ones. So definitely getting more....if you like D ring albums Making Memories do a great range.

K & Co Amy Butler Lotus tea box
I have not had much time for scrapping recently so when the chance came to spend a day with friends last saturday I set myself a challenge to get at least one page done. I have had this kit from Totalpapercrafts for ages and after a couple of modifications managed to get 2 layouts from the 1 kit....which I was really pleased about!! They are for different albums....one of which is going to Portugal....eventually! Papers are all K & Co Amy Butler Lotus tea box ....and the die cuts are from the same range. The frame for the photo was made from the box the die cuts came in. Pom Poms are from Bazzill.
Back soon with more....take care

Totalpapercrafts kit #1 February
Karen asked me to design one of her kits for this month and this is the resulting layout. I must confess I have these papers "somewhere" in my paper unit, I love the colours and its from Fancy Pants so you know the designs are going to be delicious! Included in the kit are some lovely cream & peachy flowers, I only used a few as I decided to partially cut some of the flowers from the cardstock and I did not want to over do it. The die-cuts and also included in the kit and you have loads to choose from. I used a Fiskars border punch Upper Crest to make the decorative border and I added some tony buttons for the flower centres. The title was cut on a Sizzix alphabet.

Total Papercrafts Jan kit 1
Here is the layout for the Totalpapercrafts crop this week, I have used a 6x4 landscape and a 6x4 portrait photo that you can cut down to approx 3 1/2" wide to fit under the scrolled panel, and you will just need to trim it down the height but you have some room to play with that. This Delish black and white layout would suit any celebratory photos, wedding, engagement, birthday, prom etc etc. There is nothing on the papers, embellishments etc that tie you into one theme. In the kit you get a beautiful stamp and the bling stones, so you need to bring with you a black die-based ink pad and an acrylic block, I used Versafine or you could use Stazon. Pigment ink might be to wet for such a detailed stamp. Also dig out some black and white flowers, if you wish to add those to your page. The cloth brad is from the same Delish line as the papers and we should have some of those in the shop should you wish to buy them to add to your flower centres, alternatively you use brads from your stash or buttons. The only other thing that you might find handy is a craft knife/mat, which I am sure most of you have in your tool bags, I found it easier to use a knife than scissors.

Totalpapercrafts Dec Kit 2
.jpg)
I was asked by Karen to design the 2nd kit for December using the fab papers and chipboard die cuts from Cosmo Crickets range 'Jolly By Golly'. I wanted to use some photos of a holiday I took with friends in Austria just before Christmas 2007 so I used a the snowy theme as against another Christmas one, although there are both on the chipboard sheets. I used Safmat for the journaling, a great product if you like to type your journaling on the computer and then you just peel the backing off and stick down onto some paper and as its transparent you dont see it...I have been using it alot and would recomend it.

This second layout is made from the papers etc I had left over from the first layout....makes the kit great value for money. All I added was some more plain cardstock and for the girls who have brought the kit I have used a 7x5 sized photo in both layouts but there is room for you to use 2 smaller 6x4 photos.

Totalpapercrafts dec kit 1
Here is my version of the Decembers first kit designed by Tracey. The paper layout is the same but I have changed the photo sizes and the position of the embellishments. I have used 4 6x4 landscape and 2 6x4 portraits..some of them have had a little bit taken off. The papers are My Minds Eye and you get a whole pack of crystal gems to use on your page.

Totalpapercrafts Nov kit 2
For the girls coming next week to Karens crop, here is the layout we will be doing designed by Claire. I have used the same photo sizes 1 6 x 4 & 2 x 2.5 x 4 portrait. You need a dark brown and a rouge/red ink pad, the red gel pen you get in the kit. Papers/die cuts are My Little shoebox..Imagine a forest.
My next class is on Saturday 28th November....details on my side bar.

Next Totalpapercrafts kit
Here is the double layout for the next Totalpapercrafts club night. Papers are Cosmo Cricket Earth Love. Photos are 1 7x5 and 2 6x4 portrait or you could do 2 3x2 landscapes as I have done. Just bear in mind that the large photo has a strip 1" wide cut off the side so you dont want to be cutting into someones face!!

Totalpapercrafts kit
As Karen and Dave are away getting married I am running the crops for the next few weeks, this is Karens 2nd October kit, designed by Claire from her Kent club.
Claire managed to get a second layout from what was left over from the kit and this layout below is my version of it, I had to use something else for the leaves and I changed the photo layout but I love these Pink Paislee papers, so rich and perfect for this time of year.

Growing Up
I love this photo of my daughter when she was at Infants school and as the school colour was purple it was the perfect choice for this layout. The kit was from Totalpapercrafts, I made the scalloped circle from a Nestabililties die and added flat back gems around the edge. The papers are My minds eye Penny Lane. I love the idea karen had for running the ribbon through the page at the bottom....will definitely be using that idea again!
Have a great weekend be back soon with some more layouts

Madeira
Hope you all had a great weekend....what a great Wimbledon final yesterday, although I did wonder if I was ever going to get the dinner on!! lol.
Todays layout is another kit from Totalpapercrafts, the papers are from Kaisercraft and I think they go with this very old photo of my in-laws really well. Sadly neither of them are with us anymore and I dont have very many photos to scrap. Crochet flowers are very in at the moment and karen has a great selection. The title has been made with American Craft Thickers... I love these alphabets, very versatile and they come in a range of fonts and colours. I did the swirls slightly differently using a Sizzix die.

Hat race
Had a great time yesterday at my all day crop, scrapping all day...heaven! It was a bit warm though, so fans were out in force!!
One of the layouts I did was a kit from Totalpapercrafts....My Minds Eye papers I adore, so I just loved doing this page. I am also trying to use older photos, especially of the children. How I wished I had a digital camera when they were growing up! Is so much easier to use the my recent photos but I have huge gaps in their albums and these need to be filled, so I am just going to have to get on with using the smaller photos and adjust the layouts accordingly. This picture happens to be a good one....back in the days before my daughter grew up all to quickly!!
Keep cool...its going to be a scorcher week!
This time next week will we be looking at photos of Andy Murray holding the mens champions cup at Wimbeldon?? I do hope so....but I fear I have still have to sit through many more nail bitting moments before we get to the finals!! lol but we should be used to that after watching Tim for all those years!

Andrea Victoria
Had a great day yesterday at the Totalpapercrafts all day crop in Kent, although I am shattered I think the girls enjoyed my classes. The layout I am posting today is the first class I took, I did not design this class, the lovely Claire did but was unable to attend yeaterdays crop. Karen asked me to do my version of the kit with some smaller photos as Claire had used just one 7 x 5 landscape. The panel with D & E opens out in a cross and there are 4 other small photos inside. I added two of the tags (ones on the reverse) instead of more flowers. I am getting some mixed reactions to this line but I love it....its a bit different and sometimes its good to use papers you would not necessarily go for. Everything in the layout is from the Andrea Victoria range of papers and die cuts, the ribbon is from kuretake and the alphabet stamps are an Inkadinkado clear set.
Back tomorrow with my K&Co Madeline layout. Enjoy your Sunday! Happy fathers day to all dads!!

Madrid
This is a double layout that came as a kit from Totalpapercrafts from Making Memories Passport collection. I did not go with the layouts that came with the kit because I think I have done my quoter of cutting out for a while..lol so I decided to do my take on the layout examples that come on the back of the kit cover. Its a great kit with stickers, alphabets and flowers as well as papers.
Talking of Totalpapercrafts if anybody is in the Essex area and fancys a days cropping and the chance to do some lessons as well, Karen is taking bookings for her crop on Sunday 1st March at Great Wakering. All the details can be found on her web site...she is raising money for Fairhavens at this event. The totalpapercrafts shop will be there as well and you get free tea/coffee and cake!!

Ice Cream
After another dive into my crate of left overs I made this layout with papers/stickers that I had left over from another Totalpapercraft kit. The papers are by Pebbles inc and from the Lovely kit. You get the ribbon in the kit with the word stickers and the alphabet stickers and I just added the flowers, brads and covered a chipboard heart with some of the scraps I had.

left overs...
..not from last nights dinner lol, but from a kit. I have got to start throwing small bits of paper away that are left over from a kit..but if they are big pieces then I know I can probably get another layout from them. This is what happened with this kit...again from Totalpapercrafts and using Websters papers. The layout Chill is the orginal layout and Discover Rome is my layout from the left overs. As I was short of embellishments I added flowers and a journaling stamp.

photo shoot
Just before Christmas I finally managed to get the family together with a photographer and have a long overdue photo shoot. This kit was another from Totalpapercrafts that I had completed all but the photos. Its not easy for me to photograph but hopefully you get the idea...its 4 pages in essence one on either side and an 12x12 acetate sheet in the middle with a photograph on each side. so what ever way you look at it you see the photos behind. Its a bit of aggro getting it all to stick down exactly so everything matches but once its done it looks fab. The papers by the way are Paper Salon...enamored collection.
Back tomorrow with some left overs!! and hopefully something from my new stash.....oops forgot I was supposed to be on a stash diet...well in just jumped into my basket and whats a girl to do!! It would be rude to put it back...lol

Violet
Another page finished...yahoo!! This is a kit again from Totalpapercrafts, using Websters papers, a company not alot of people have heard of but they do some stunning papers. This layout has tons of cutting out...so not so much as cuppa of tea job...more like an urn job!! It was worth it though...this picture of my nan, who died when I was young so I dont remember her, is beautiful so I wanted to do a page that was really special. I only have a few photos of her young and old, so spending extra time on these projects is worth it in my mind. The alphabet is a American Craft Thickers chipboard set, that was not in the kit, everything else was.
My resolution to stop buying stash is wavering alittle....I have succumbed to the new Basic Grey collection Bittersweet but not the entire collection...which is good for me!!
