Totalpapercrafts kit June Kit #1

So I am way behind in posting my pages so I have a couple to show today and tonight...now I have finally got my photos printed, I will complete the other layout I did.

Junes single kit was Echo Park Birthday Wishes, I used the left overs and came up with 2 single layouts. I used the Kraft cardstock as the base for each and I brought the Element sticker sheet that went with the range.

Hopefully back tomorrow with something else made from this kit and then I can bring the blog upto date with the 2nd June Kit

Totalpapercrafts May kit # 2

These pages I designed using Karen's kit #2 for this month. I had a go at making a pin board effect for the background. The flower embellishment is made from Wow powder, I am loving this product and have made myself a fabulous ring using this mould.

The papers in the kit come from the Kaisercraft Charlottes Dream collections and come with a Prima alphabet.

With the scraps I had left I designed this layout, using some more Wow powders and moulds for the buttons. The tag is a Spellbinders die and the "smile" stamp is from Autumn Leaves. The bunting dies are from Stampin'Up as is the Finishing Touches edgelits on the top and bottom of the page. The flowers are a Sizzix set and the doily Spellbinders. I used a few pearls from my stash on both pages.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day

Today I am spending it the best way in the company of over 30 lovely crafty friends. They may not all be scrapbooking, some are card making and some will be doing their wonderful altered art pieces but it does not matter...its playing with paper and glue, being creative and having a fabulous time doing it is all the matters.

I do have a page to show you today, photos were taken at the retreat I went to recently.

Papers and stickers are all from the For The Record Documented 2 range and the flowers we made at retreat using twine and cork, looks great on this page.

Have a fabulous weekend...bank holiday for us in the uk and the weathers looking great....I hope you get some time to craft

Websters Pages layouts

What with facebook and pinterest my blog has become alittle neglected so today I am sharing some layouts done with a kit we were given at our recent A trip down memory lane retreat. First layout is based on the instructions from the wonderful Mel, I just altered it slightly because I wanted to add an extra photo.

then with the papers and stickers I had left over and some more cardstock,  I managed to design
this page. I added some Stampin'Up ribbon and a few pearly buttons.

The papers and stickers are all Websters pages Modern Romance.

Totalpapercraft April kit 1

Here is my design using the first of this months kits from Totalpapercrafts. The papers are kaisercraft 75 cents and the kit includes a pack of wooden leaves.

I coloured the wood pieces with Distress ink. If you are subscribing to Karens kits through me then you will get the instructions for this layout and her own design included in your kit this month.

I am trying to be good and use up all the leftover pieces from the kit instead of putting them away in my crate, so with the addition of another piece of Kraft cardstock I made this.

This time I painted the wood with Picket Fence Distress stain, so easy and mess free! I typed my title on a piece of Safmat and attached to layout....I had forgotten just how good this stuff is.

If you are interested in receiving these kits from me, email me for details.

I will be back soon with an alternative layout from Karen using this kit.

Totalpapercrafts March kit 1

The Totalpapercrafts club is now up and running, I am still using the smaller hall until I can guarantee more ladies are coming regularly to cover the hall cost. So if you are interested let me know and I will save you a space. Details of where we meet/cost/times etc are on the side bar.
The next kit is kaisercraft 75 cents and as soon as I recieve my instructions from Karen the layout will be posted on here. If you would like to subscribe to the kits each month and cant make the club nights, kits can be reserved for you. Payment for the kits will need to be made through paypal and as karen is moving to Cornwall there will be a deadline for payments to be recieved, so she can post the correct numbers to me.

Here is the layout from March's first kit, using the Prima Engraver range.

Every month there is a double and a single layout kit, the flowers were made with the Sizzix Paula Pascual Flowers framelits die set and although they have a script stamp in the set I used the script stamp from the Engraver collection to stamp over the die cut flowers for speed. I used some tiny Jessie James buttons for the centres. The kits included a Prima wooden stamp and we made our own washi tape by stamping onto tissue with Black ink and sticking a piece of double sided tape to reverse. Its a brilliant effect and can be easily designed to fit any page colour combo you are doing by using coloured inks and distressing the backgrounds of the tape. If you make more than you need then simply roll up and hold with a paperclip and store safely in a box so it does not get squashed.

Craftwork cards kit

Today I am showing you the layout the ladies did last month with their kit from me. I managed to get some lovely papers from Craftwork cards, in the softest purple/plum/mushroom shades...very unusual. I created 2 single layouts...the first one

The first one uses lots of the die cut that came in the kit.  I used some Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms dies to create the flowers and leaves and the flourish across the top is a d'lite Spellbinder die. The journaling stamp is from Prima and came in the kit. The flourishes are from an old Inkadinkado gemstone flourish set and I included some lovely pearls from the Hobby House to embellish the layouts. One of the papers is covered in typewriter letters so I used 2 sizes of circle punches to create the title. The stamps on the tickets is from an set I have had for years and its without the casing so I cant remember whose it is but there are plenty of ticket stamps on the market now.

The second layout

uses the same items, I cut the circles on my EK Success circle cutter and the lace was wrapped around the ticket die cuts. The ribbon is Perfect Plum taffeta from Stampin'Up! brads are from Bazzill.

Totalpapercrafts March Kit 2

From this week I am now running the Totalpapercrafts club for Karen as she is moving. This is the first kit we are doing, the kit includes a sheet of cardstock, 4 double sided patterned cardstock, some ribbon and a bottle of Maya Mist. The paper range we are using is Prima Lyric and this kit design is for a single layout. Suitable for many themes of photos, I went with a photo of my son and my daughter-in-law on their honeymoon in Bali. Photo size is a 6" x 4" landscape and mine has a white border.

My resolution for a while now is to not put away in a crate, bags of left-overs from previous kits with the promise to myself that I will do something with it another day.....does not happen and hence why I have a crate full of leftovers. So if I think theres enough to get another page out of a kit I will post on here what I have done.

All I have added is an extra sheet of white 12x12 and the use of a Tim Holtz Floral Garland Sizzix die, its one of the long strip ones. For the leaves I used a Martha Stewart Branch punch.

To do the doily effect I had some die cut Cheery Lynn doilys from a die I borrowed from a friend and I just sprayed the back with some Crafters Companion stick and spray and positioned the doily on a piece of card I had left over. Gently spritz with the spray in the kit and I repeated again in the other corner. I love the result and if you dont have any doily dies then you could use a paper doily that are easily available now in craft shops and are very inexpensive. I literally have a few odd tiny scraps left...very satisfying..lol!!

If you are interested in receiving Karen kits or attending club nights please get in touch

I have just completed another Totalpapercrafts kit from March which I will post tomorrow....using my absolute favourite range at the moment Prima Engraver.

Class Plaque

A couple of weeks ago, I did a class painting and decorating a mdf plaque using Prima Engraver papers, flowers, chipboard elements.

The board and hearts were painted with kaisercraft Eggshell paint and then I stamped the "love" wording with a Kaisercraft Crackle stamp and Stampin'Up Sahara Sand ink pad. The kit included 16 sheets of 6x6 papers from the Prima Engraver collection, some flowers and the chipboard elements pack. Mdf pieces came from Rob the mdf man and he can be seen at most of the scrapbooking/card making shows around the country. Really happy with the way everyones turned out, all slightly different which is great to see. I do have a few kits left if anyone is interested, they are £15.00 each and come with full instructions.

Februarys Class

Had a lovely afternoon with my ladies yesterday, using this months kit. Echo park this month with a new version of their For the Record range they brought out last year called "Documented" . Everything they used was from this range except my trusty tag die from Sizzix and some ribbon. The sun ray effect is very popular at the moment so I made my own template and cut panels from the papers in alternative designs.

The second layout uses the left over pieces of cardstock and stickers

Enjoy whats left of the weekend, at least we have some lovely weather today!

Januarys Class

Luckily the recent bad weather did not effect my monthly class and I am grateful to all my lovely ladies for coming out and braving the roads.

This months kit was a Christmas one, different feel this year with the vintage theme from the fabulous Carta Bella Christmas Day collection. We made 2 layouts with the kit and to keep in with the theme I dug out some old photos from when the children were small. The dates were cut on Vintage Market Tim Holtz alphabet die.

Keep warm
